Twice daily, 100 billion tonnes of water sweep in and out of the Bay of Fundy, scouring fantastic shapes in the land and providing feeding grounds for an amazing range of birds, fish, and marine mammals. Watch from your ocean view or tidal river property as sea, land, and sky provide an ever-changing panorama.
Ocean View
Rockliffe By-the-Sea offers a unique community of year-round and vacation properties. Natural terracing and elevation of the land gives spectacular ocean views from 250 to 450 feet above sea level and river views from 80 to 200 feet above sea level. Beach access, trails, protective covenants, and private roads ensure that Rockcliffe will always retain its natural beauty in the heart of Nova Scotia.
River View
The Moose River itself metamorphises twice daily from a stream one can walk across to a 200 foot wide, 20 foot deep river. The river provides the most protected anchorage in the area, safe even in a hurricane.
This area is steeped in history as indicated by the remains of dams and wharves along the shores, evidence of a logging and lumbering industry which, according to local lore, provided the materials to help with the construction of the Empire State Building in New York City.
